The Splagen torpedo is a fairly new replacement for the company level mortars in the Western Crusade. Fortunately the Splagen is able to be manufactured in Maer Braech as with the supply lines, and high level communication, with Crusade general HQ being cut Splagen ammo was difficult to procure until until several factories producing artillery shells were retooled for Splagen manufacture.
Still, within the Western Crusade, many Splagen rounds are duds or low yield and training for firing and maintaining the Torpedo is on-the-job and often under fire.
